Mark joined Maverston in March 2023 as our Head of Operations. Responsible for the general day to day running of the facility, Mark endeavours to make sure that everyone's Maverston experience is a memorable one.
Mark arrived at Maverston with over 30 years as a PGA professional. He has gained a vast wealth of knowledge throughout his career, having been responsible for a variety of roles during this time.
Debbie Joined Maverston in May 2022 as a Golf Operations Assistant following a career working in primary schools supporting children with additional needs.
In April 2024 Debbie took on the role of Clubhouse Manager.
She took up golf in 2017 and became a member at Maverston in 2020 and was our Ladies Club Champion in 2021 & 2022.
Greig has been a member at Maverston for 2 years and just recently joined the clubhouse team.
He started playing golf when he was 6 with his Grandad, taking him to various courses such as Royal Dornoch and Forres and has only reasonably recently taken it back up again after starting a family.
Greig won the Maverston gents open in March 2023.
Outside of golf, he takes part in Tae Kwon-Do which he has done since he was 5 and even competed for the Scottish National team in various World and European Championships across the globe. (Also employed as Maverston security!!!! ;) )
Isla started at Maverston in June 2022 and works as a clubhouse assistant part-time while studying.
Prior to Maverston, Isla has worked at a kennels and in her spare time she loves to play rugby, which she's done for 13 years (with the scars to show).
Isla's favourite things about working at Maverston are getting to drive the buggies and speaking to all the customers.
Calum joined Maverston 15 years ago starting out as an apprentice and worked his way up to his current role.
As course manager, he is responsible for the management, maintenance, care and overall appearance of the golf course.
Outside of work, Calum started playing golf at the age of 7 years old and he has competed in motorsport for the last 5 years.
Joining the Maverston team in 2018, Callum is Deputy to the Course Manager, supporting the management and maintenance of the course.
Callum started out at Maverston as an apprentice, then gaining experience as a head Greenkeeper locally before returning to Maverston as Deputy.
Outside of work, Callum coaches for a local kids football team.
Joining the club in 2013 as Greenkeeper, Colin works within the team to maintain the course to a high standard of presentation and playability.
Outside of his role at Maverston, Colin is the president of a local hillwalking club.
Ryan joined the team as Greenkeeper in 2021, working as part of the team responsible for maintaining Maverston Golf Course to a high standard.
Outside of work, Ryan is a keen sportsman, playing golf since he was a junior and also playing football for a local junior football club.
